Playing the Killer, you are entitled to take on whatever horrifying ability you want, so you can be a slasher or a paranormal killer of sorts. Killers have advantages - Horror is the main aspect of the Dead by Daylight title, in all aspects of it. You will be randomly spawned and safety is never an absolute, unfortunately. Where is everybody?! - Levels are generated as you progress through the round, and therefore there’s no planning as there’s never a level that looks the same with the other. It’s your decisions that bring your chances of making it up or down. Survival as a team… or solo - Survivors can turn against the Killer as a team, or they can turn selfish, and fight for their own and against the others. It sounds easy enough, but it’s far from it. Survivors have to get out of the Killing Ground, in time before the Killer gets to them. The Killer, on the other hand, has a first-person look, and so his focus is almost entirely dedicated to prey, rather than situational experiences.

If you’re not participating in regular gameplay and get caught while the rest have worked hard to make it this far then that’s on you.The advantage of the Survivors is, they can be more aware of their surroundings and situations. This is more end game but it also encourages survivors to play the game right. The fourth would replace one of Devour Hope’s powers but allow for any survivor to be Mori-ed regardless of being hooked. The first level Mori earned would be the ability to Mori the last survivor, second level would be any one survivor after two hooks, third is all survivors after two hooks.

This encourages killers to play the game in a way that is even and fun for all. Watch your generators, know when to end your chase, protect your totems, and hook those pesky kids. If you want a Mori you must play correctly no tunnelling, camping, or grieving. This is also based on overall performance. Only for each level a more powerful version is earned. Play anything from a powerful Slasher to a terrifying paranormal entity. This seems unfair but, it will also make you play more cooperatively to ensure a victory for the team. A feast for killers - Dead by Daylight draws deom all corners of the horror world. Sacrificing players locks their amount of work down and, while it’s added to the overall total should not have modifiers for the remaining players in the game.

If there are repeated disconnects then key earning potential is cut, making teamwork paramount to earn it back – with multiple matches needed to completely restore the normal ability to earn. If you have a player disconnect before they’ve reached this the players left automatically earn that player’s portion of the key and the player that disconnects gets a warning.
